Meet Our Staff:
Chad Johnson, Owner
Chad is a native of Butler County KY, where he grew up helping a legend in the business, his late father Dewayne Johnson of Dewayne’s Auto Body & Wrecker Service. He learned the trades of the wrecker and auto body business by the time he was 16 and was running his own wrecker. He attended Bowling Green Vocational School for auto body work after graduating from Butler County High School. He opened his own wrecker and body shop in 2004. Chad volunteered his time on the Butler County Rescue Squad for 16 years and was also a bus driver for the Butler County School District for 7 years. Chad’s other passion is in life is farming. He currently farms 1600+ acres of corn and soy beans and has over 50 head of cattle.
Jeff Chaney, Administrative Assistant
Jeff Chaney has been a key part of our team for over 5 years now. He is certainly no stranger to Butler County and the residents of this great county. He joins us after an early retirement from the Butler County EMS as a paramedic of 15 years. Jeff will greet you on the phone and get your appointment scheduled, or send a wrecker to rescue you, and quote any tire needs you may have. He will communicate the mechanics findings and be your liaison of communication for all of your automobile needs.
Mike Haney, Auto Body Technician
Mike is a native of Butler County KY, where he has been in the auto body repair business since 1969. He attended Bowling Green Trade school for auto body work after serving 6 years in the US Air Force. He has owned and operated his own business for 9 years and has been at Chad’s Body shop for 4 years. We are fortunate to have his knowledge for a few hours a week.
Kurt Peak, Auto Body Technician
Kurt joined our Body Shop team in 2018. He has been in Butler County for 15 years, after returning here from graduating at Southern Highschool. Kurt has been in the body shop business for over 15 years, mastering in paint, metal, restoration, unibody and structure repair. He has earned many certifications including the very impressive ICAR Platinum The industry-recognized Platinum designation is given to collision repair professionals who achieve and maintain high levels of role-relevant training that contributes to complete, safe and quality repairs. This certificate is earned only by individual technicians who have completed the highest levels of I-CAR training designates as Platinum certification.
Gordon Budded, Auto Body Shop Technician
Gordon is new to Butler County & Kentucky. Gordon and his family moved here from Illinois a few months ago and we are so lucky he walked through our doors. He has over 40 years of paint and body experience and even owned his own Body Shop for many years in Illinois. He has fabrication certificates, as well as continued paint and body education and certifications.
Johnny Brooks, Master Mechanic, Towing & Recovery
Johnny is also a Butler County Native and graduate BCHS. He has 15 years of extensive Honda and Nissan factory training experience. He maintains 10 years of ASE certificates and continued education in the automotive industry. Johnny has volunteered and served as past Chief of the Butler County Rescue Squad for 5 years. He considered serving the people of Butler County as a priority.
Will Cowles, Mechanic, Towing & Recovery
Will joined our team in 2018. Will has over 10 years of experience in mechanic work, specializing in tire, lube, tune up, brake and diagnostics. Will takes care of all our customers in need of a tow, lockout or who are in need of help after an accident.
Jonathan Arnold, Mechanic
Jonathan joined our team of ASE certified mechanics in February of 2020. Jonathan has been an ASE holder for over 10 years. His experience helps or team in diagnosing and repairing all year makes and models of cars to full customer satisfaction.
Anthony Perrin, Towing & Recovery
Anthony works as of one of our Towing & Recovery, and mechanic part time as well. He is a Butler County Native graduating from the Butler County High School in 1999. Currently employed with the Chad Johnson Farms, LLC, Anthony has extensive knowledge for mechanics of small automobile's to large machinery, tractor trailers, and diesel truck repair's.
RIP to our Marli Johnson, The Boss
Marli would over see the day to day operation at Chad's Body Shop & Wrecker Service, LLC, making sure that each customer had an enjoyable experience and received the best in customer care! She thoroughly enjoyed the many treats and bones that our customers and distributors would bring her. Marli lost her battle with a tumor in 2020. She will be missed by so so many.
Lyla Johsnon, The New BOSS!
Lyla came into our lives after the heart breaking loss of Marli. Lyla is here at the shop daily to entertain and fill the hearts of our customers while they wait for the repairs of their vehicles. She is a brindle boxer and has plenty of energy and love to give to everyone.
